Rose Ayling-Ellis supported by Strictly co-stars as she shares new play struggles

EastEnders’ Rose Ayling-Ellis has been showered with support by her former Strictly Come Dancing co-stars after the blonde bombshell opened up about her struggles getting to grips with her brand-new play.

Last month, the former ballroom champion announced her new role in the Shakespeare play As You Like It housed in the West End theatre Soho House this winter.

But her transition from TV to theatre hasn’t been as smooth as she had hoped after the actor opened up about her struggles getting to grips with the play just weeks before audiences will watch her perform.

She was soon showered with support from her former Strictly family as they cheered her on in her overflowing comments section.

New coming BBC pro dancer Carlos Gu passed on a duo of purple heart emojis and an applause emoji as Lauren Oakley added: “Photo 7 [four heart eyes emoji]”.

Her post referenced a picture of Rose’s notebook of her quotes for the play which had been decorated with illustrations and doodles around the page.

Rose first announced her new role back in October 17, which read: “So excited to finally share this news!

“I am thrilled to be going back to theatre with this talented group of people. Scary thought to be performing Shakespeare for the very first-time playing Celia.

“I’m feeling privileged to be able to do this in this incredible new space. Can’t wait to great creative [theatre masks] @sohoplace.”

It comes after the 27-year-old left her role on the BBC soap opera after two years working on Albert Square as her character Frankie Lewis bid farewell to her family and set her sights on bigger things outside of London.
