Mick Carter is jealous in EastEnders after spotting ex-wife Linda and Alfie Moon on a date together.
The Queen Vic owner could be seen looking over longingly at Linda, despite having previously proposed to bride to be Janine Butcher.
So could Mick make one last try to reunite with Linda? And if he does, how will Janine react?

Fans have since taken to social media to discuss what could happen to Mick, after actor Danny Dyer announced his exit from the BBC soap.
From meeting a tragic end to the return of Strictly star Rose-Ayling Ellis as Frankie Carter, Daily Star takes a closer look at the fan theories surrounding Mick Carter’s future.
Janine steals The Queen Vic
Mick recently proposed to Janine Butcher in EastEnders, but some fans think that his bride to be could have an ulterior motive.
Their marriage would lead to the couple running the famous Queen Vic Pub together, with some fans asking if this is the reason that Janine is marrying Mick.
“Is Janine marrying Mick to get her mits on the Queen Vic?” asked one fan.
Another agreed, saying: “The old Janine would have taken the Vic from the Carters from right under their noses.”
“I’m surprised Janine hasn’t bumped off both Mick and Linda yet and buried them six feet under the Queen Vic,” said a third.
Viewers have also predicted that the marriage will not end well after the proposal took place in a part of the pub that was the scene of an iconic – and shocking – Albert Square moment for one couple.
“Mick proposing to Janine in a room where Den and Angie must have had hundreds of fights. What could go wrong?” they asked.
However, other viewers have predicted that Linda Carter could take control of The Queen Vic before Janine does, with another saying: “Mick will sell his share of the pub to Linda.”
“Monthly tweet of asking for Sharon and Linda to be the ones who run the Vic for the foreseeable future together when Mick leaves,” begged another.
Frankie Carter returns
EastEnders bosses have announced a number of exits from the BBC soap this year, including the departures of Danny Dyer as Mick and more recently, Rose Ayling-Ellis as Frankie.
Many fans have expressed their sadness at the father-daughter duo’s exit, with some thinking that Frankie could return as part of Mick’s exit storyline.
One fan said: “I hope she leaves with Mick in a sweet way. Their relationship has been so beautifully written and performed and it’s how I’d write the two of them out.”
“I would LOVE to see Frankie pop up in the future at some point, even if it’s just a flying visit,” said a second.
A third agreed, saying: “I hope she returns just before Mick’s exit.”
Mick and Linda reunite
Mick may have proposed to Janine, but EastEnders fans are begging for him and ex-wife Linda to reunite before he leaves the square.
Linda recently went on a date with Alfie Moon after chemistry sparked between the two, sending Mick into a bout of jealously.
Fans picked up on Mick’s feelings, with one saying: “Wake up and smell the coffee Mick, you love Linda.”
“Mick is so jealous and Linda know its, her little grin aaahh. They are SOULMATES always,” agreed a second.
Viewers are now calling for Mick and Linda to reunite, with a third begging: “Still cringing at that Mick, Janine and Scarlett scene. Stop this storyline and expose Janine already! I want Mick and Linda reunited before Mick leaves!”
“Sorry but I don’t like Mick and Janine together,” added another, with a fifth saying: “Just give me them back for one last time please.”
“Mick knows deep down he still loves Linda and he’s just being in denial about it,” added a sixth.
Linda chooses Alfie Moon
Despite some fans begging for Mick and Linda to reunite, other viewers do not agree.
Following Linda’s date with Alfie, a few fans took to social media to say that they think Mick and Linda should part ways for good.
“I get Mick and Linda were together since time began, soulmates, etc, but after everything that has happened to them, are they actually a viable couple anymore? I just don’t see it…” said one fan.
“Let both characters be free to explore other things, like Alfie and Linda!” commented a second.
A third asked: “Why is Mick so jealous? He’s literally just proposed to Janine and Mick and Linda are divorced.”
Meanwhile, others fans have their theories that Alfie and Linda will run the Queen Vic together when Mick leaves – and that they may become legal guardians to Janine’s daughter Scarlett in a horrifying exit twist for Mick.
“I think Alfie and Linda will run it together and Linda will adopt Scarlett after Janine goes on the run with Ricky after killing Mick on Christmas day,” they predicted.
Mick meets same fate as Barry Evans
After EastEnders bosses teased that Mick will meet a tragic end on Christmas Day, fans have been speculating about how he will leave the soap.
Photographs have since shown Mick in peril on the edge of a cliff top, with fans speculating that he will meet the same fate as Janine’s husband Barry Evans.
Viewers will remember that Janine pushed Barry off a cliff in a dramatic scenes during their honeymoon – so could Mick meet the same fate?
Fans seem to think so, with one saying: “He’s gonna pull a Barry isn’t he?”
“Can’t believe Mick is going to die,” said another, with a third agreeing: “Barry Evans 2.0”
“Does Janine push him off. Are we getting the same cliff as Barry?” asked a fourth.
A fifth commented: “We know Mick Carter is leaving EastEnders. I hope he’s not victim number three for Janine Butcher.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
