Josie Gibson gushes over I'm A Celeb's Mike Tindall and can 'see why Zara loves him'

This Morning favourite Josie Gibson has said her favourite to win the 2022 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is Royal Family member Mike Tindall.

The rugby ace became the first member of the Royal Family to go in the Australian jungle – and it seems he has plenty of backing at home.

Speaking to Daily Star at ITV Palooza, Josie gushed over the rugby star and said she’s rooting for Mike Tindall to become King of the Jungle.

She said: “I’m absolutely watching! I’m rooting for Mike Tindall, I love him. He’s lovely. I think he’s such a gentleman.

“He’s the daddy of the group who looks after everybody, he’s just a real gent. You can understand why Zara loves him so much, and he’s so kind and gentle. He’s lovely.”

While Josie is loving Mike Tindall – who seems to be a favourite among the campers themselves too – she’s not quite as keen on Matt Hancock.

She said: “It makes brilliant TV, but I think he should give up his MP wage while he’s in there. People lost their loved ones and I think they will have a lot more to say about him.”

Mike is definitely one of the most famous faces to enter the jungle this year after tying the knot with Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter Zara in 2011.

The rugby star has regularly focused on his life away from the Royal Family and has always earned his own way, but he’s still a regular at the lavish events.

In a recent episode of I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out of Here! fans accused Mike of breaking royal protocol after he made a swipe at politicians.

Speaking with fellow campmate Seann Walsh on Tuesday, he said: “I just think all politicians are f*****s.

“I mean for them to even have the conversation just because they’re all Boris fans that didn’t like how Boris was ousted that you won’t pick the best person for the job, that just sums politicians up.”

It followed Matt confessing he believed that Liz Truss was selected as MP because people saw Rishi Sunak as “wielding the knife against Boris”.

Matt has regularly been quizzed on his job outside of camp – with the fellow celebs firing questions out from the moment he entered the jungle.
