Paddy McGuinness challenges troll to meet 'face to face' after 'unprovoked' dig

Paddy McGuinness has challenged a horrid troll to meet “face to face” after a troll attacked him on Instagram.

The Top Gear star said the insults were “totally unprovoked and uncalled for” and that he would like to offer the unnamed troll the chance to “man up”.

Paddy fumed online: “Never met him, don’t follow him, no idea who he is?

“Yet this didn’t stop him from spewing bile for no reason.

“I asked the hard case if he’d like to pop out from behind the keyboard and meet up face to face. Give him a chance to man up.”

“Upon this request he unfollowed and blocked me.

“Don’t be a wrong ‘un like him, kids, the world is in a bad enough shape as it is.”

Paddy, who recently split from his model wife Christine, said he never normally takes any notice of trolls but made the mistake of looking at this profile.

He added: “He’s got one of those faces that you never tire of slapping and for a second there that’s all I wanted to do!

“You expect that on Twitter but not on the lovely tranquil waters of the ‘Gram.

“Anyway, peace and love.”

In other Paddy news, his comedian pal announced Peter Kay has just announced a bumper UK comeback tour — including a year-long residency at London’s O2 Arena — with eager fans sending ticket servers crashing in their rush to secure tickets.

Paddy took to social media to confirm his friendship with Kay had not put him in any better a position to get hold of the much-coveted tickets for the shows.

The presenter of dating show Take Me Out tweeted: “Afternoon. Man’s not got Peter Kay tickets. Have a lovely day. X”

It appears McGuinness, also 49, will be at the mercy of resale websites and touts like many other angry fans have found themselves since tickets went on sale this week.

At the time of writing, the cheapest Peter Kay tickets for December shows were just under £200 each.
