Strictly Come Dancing pro Karen Hauer and her husband Jordan Wyn-Jones have welcome a new addition to their growing family – a gorgeous rescue pup called Joey.
The talented star announced the news on Instagram, telling fans he was born with a deformed leg that needed to be amputated.
Announcing the happy news to her followers, she penned: “”Introducing …. JOEY. Welcome to the pack beautiful boy. Joey is a vizsla. Joey loves carrots. We rescued him through @vizslamentes_uk.

“He was born with a deformed leg which had to be amputated. This won’t stop him from being incredibly happy and from having all the fun with his new pack.”
Karen also took the opportunity to encourage fans to rescue pets and not buy them, adding: “Thank you so much for bringing our baby boy safely to the UK from Hungary.
“We love all of our rescue dogs and we would love to keep spreading the word on rescuing animals in need of a forever, safe, loving home. #adoptdontshop @petauk @wild_at_heart_foundation.”
Fans congratulated the star in comments and thanked her for rescuing Joey.
“Congrats on the new addition to your rescue pack. You are a true ambassador and voice for rescue dogs everywhere,” gushed one fan.
Another added: “He is wonderful. so fab that you are an advocate for rescue.”
While a third agreed: “Bless you, you have such good hearts. He’s gorgeous. What a lovely life he will have with you.”
The couple already has three rescue dogs – Betty, Marley and Phoebe – with Phoebe also suffering an amputated leg.
The professional dancer, who married in June, has always spoken in the past about the benefits of adoption.
“Adopting Betty, Marley, and Phoebe were three of the best decisions I’ve ever made,” she previously told PETA. “If you’re thinking of adding a dog to your family, please remember to always adopt – don’t shop.”
