Benidorm fans were left ecstatic when stars of the show appeared to tease a new season during a live performance.
The popular ITV sitcom was axed back in 2018 after an impressive 11-year run leaving fans of the show devastated at its demise.
At the time creator, Derren Litten promised to carry the story on with a live stage show – and there was even talk of a movie to carry on his creation.

He teased followers on Twitter with the plans writing: “But the story continues in the form of… benidormonstage.com. Come see us on tour and see what happens next!”
However, the move to the big screen didn’t go ahead as Derren quit showbiz to open a themed bar in Spain.
Now the original stars of Benidorm have reunited for a convention hosted by Derren – but it appears the event wasn’t just a walk down memory lane as they seemed to tease the return on stage.
Derren was joined by the original Garvey family members who launched the show back in 2007 on stage for the event.
Fans will recall Benidorm followed the Garvey’s on their annual all-inclusive holiday at The Solana resort as they went through the trials and tribulations of family life.
The Garvey’s sadly said their farewells to the series after season seven, with the Dawsons replacing them, but things were never quite the same as the comical classic began winding down.
So it may come as no surprise that Derren opted for original cast members Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran, Oliver Stokes and Sheila Reid to join him on stage for the event which was hosted in front of a live audience as they relived some fan favourite moments.
A video posted to TikTok by Explore Benidorm saw the actors take on their past on-screen personas with Steve as Nick telling Janice: “Now that we’ve sold that b****y hotel in Las Vegas, could this be our new big adventure?”
Derren then asks: “Have you just announced season 11 of Benidorm? Who on earth would watch it?”
He continued: “Ladies and gentlemen, in the worlds of Madge Garvey in series seven episode two, ‘Never say never. Never say never.’
“I’d like to thank this amazing cast that started out as employees, went on to be friends and now they’re my family.”
Excited fans rushed to the comments section to support the news with one writing: “Omg yes!!! Benidorm was never the same without the Garveys!”
Another emotional fan posted: “I’m crying literally crying.”
A third gushed: “Absolutely buzzing with this news!!”
