But as the presenters discussed the new programme possibly overshadowing William and Kate’s recent visit to the United States, some felt it may be encouraging rivalry between the Royal couples.

Fans think GMB are fuelling rivalry

Taking to Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts on the reporting as well as the upcoming series.

One person wrote: “@GMB are making it a competition between William and Kate Harry and Meghan. William and Kate are going to rule England some day. Prince Harry’s life was always going to be different from his brother. This hating #HarryandMeghan isn’t helping Kate and William.”

Another said: “The nonsense being promoted this morning by #GMB. If William & Kate were popular or interesting their spot light could never be stolen.”

Sharing their thoughts on the trailer, another penned: “Looking really desperate to keep the Royal Family onside. Piling on Harry & Meghan with the Royal Family/household narrative. The misleading ticker claiming Harry & Meghan have released the trailer (No Netflix did).”

Meanwhile a fourth added: “What don’t people get about family politics? Not everyone has a tight relationship with your dad or your brother’s , priorities are who you live with.”

In the trailer for their new series, Harry said: “No one sees what’s happening behind closed doors.”

Meanwhile Meghan added: “When the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make more sense to hear our story from us?”

Prince Harry also shared: “I had to do everything I could to protect my family.”

The news of the series also comes against a backdrop of a royal race row about comments that were made to a black guest at Buckingham Palace.
