Strictly Come Dancing fans were confused on Friday night (December 2) when the beloved glitzy dancing competition aired on a different day.
Historically known and loved as classic Saturday night television, it was all change on Friday night when the quarter final burst onto our screens at 8pm.
Although some fans thought that this meant their weekend got off to a fabulous start – others were less than impressed.

One fan simply said: “Feels odd being on a Friday,” while another admitted: “Not loving Strictly on a Friday!”

And a third added: “Strictly on a Friday night is madness. It’s like watching This Morning at 9pm. Absolute bad vibes.”
While others complained that they nearly missed the beloved show.
“Anyone know why Strictly is on tonight instead of Saturday? I’ve missed nearly the whole show and I’m guessing that I’m not alone in being annoyed with the BBC’s lack of communication for changing the schedule.”

To which someone replied: “Did you hear the World Cup was on?”
Due to the World Cup, the quarter final was shown live on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer at 8pm.
Which means the results show will be shown on Saturday evening at 5.40pm.
And the day and time change wasn’t the only shakeup that took place on Strictly on Friday.

Fans of the show were overjoyed to see a beloved former professional dancer make a comeback to the competition.
Oti Mabuse – who departed the show as a professional dancer at the start of the year – was sat in the audience after choreographing the professional dancers’ opening dance.
Viewers quickly took to Twitter to discuss Oti’s shock return, with one writing: “So good to see Oti in the audience tonight, not to mention choreographing that opening routine.”
Another added: “We miss you Oti!!”
