I’m A Celeb’s Chris Moyles ‘walked out’ of ITV jungle amid feud with ‘fake’ co-star

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Chris Moyles has confessed he “walked out of camp” amid a feud with his co-star Matt Hancock.

The Radio X presenter opened up about the huge feud between the campmates and the former Health Secretary, who came to the jungle seeking “a bit of forgiveness” after various Covid scandals.

DJ Chris, 48, placed sixth in the competition – while Hancock made it to the final, finishing in third place.

But in a candid chat on his radio show, Chris confirmed that he could have been out a lot earlier after he walked out on his campmates.

Chris Moyles branded co-star Matt Hancock ‘fake’

He said: “Matt Hancock kind of dived around a few questions I thought, and then said, ‘I guess all I’m just asking for is forgiveness’.

“At that point I had to walk out of camp and just get away because I personally found that quite fake. And that really wound me up.”

He added: “He’s an MP and he’s paid to look after people and their interests and hopefully make their lives better. I don’t know how he does that by going on the jungle show.”

Matt Hancock refuted claims of ‘bullying’ in the jungle

Matt’s appearance on I’m A Celeb garnered 1,100 complaints to broadcasting watchdog Ofcom – with widespread criticism of his appearance while still being a serving MP.

It comes amid rumours of a feud between the campmates and Matt, who was absent from the ‘unofficial’ final dinner hosted by the I’m A Celeb stars themselves.

Scarlette Douglas also confirmed Matt has been excluded from the WhatsApp group chat.

But despite the rumours of “bullying” going on in the jungle, Matt had nothing but nice things to say about his co-stars.

He opened up to Mail+, saying: “I didn’t feel bullied in the jungle. I felt people asked the questions respectfully.

“They challenged me directly and I respect that. It was a lot more collegiate than it looked on TV.”

Boy George also insisted after the claims: “I treated him [Matt] with absolute respect. I said what I needed to say and I made some fun digs but there was zero awkwardness. He appreciated my directness.”
