Meghan and Harry accused of plotting explosive TV tell-all back in 2020 by royal expert

Good Morning Britain’s royal editor Chris Ship made an interesting theory just moments after watching episode one of the new Harry and Meghan docuseries.

Chris shared his thoughts with presenters Susanna Reid and Ben Sheppard, explaining how they royal dduo “video-diaried” their way out of the royal family.

“A lot of it is about love story, how they met on Instagram and how their life changed, it’s almost as if they video diaried their way out of the royal family,” he said.

Chris continued to theorise: “It’s as if they were planning on making a Netflix documentary like this, what with the criticism of their privacy from the press but they’ve got cameras in the car filming themselves?”

Chris shared his first thoughts

Joined by TV presenter Amal Fashanu and Newsweek’s Royal editor Jack Royston, the three watched as the Harry and Meghan Netflix docuseries was released this morning (8 Dec) at 8am.

The opening episode also revealed that the “Royal family declined to comment on the content of the programme”.

Jack added to Chris’ initial finding from the show, saying: “They have always wanted to share private life and connect with fans, it’s just been about consent for them”.

Presenter Amal Fashanu found the first episode moving and providing another point of view to Meghan and Harry’s supposed ‘planning’.

“Maybe they were planning all along to share their truth, they want to show what is actually going on”, she explained.

“You have to wonder, ‘How do you deal with it'”, Amal continued.

In the first episode of the documentary, Harry and Meghan film parts from a mobile phone, offering their candid and genuine thoughts on the situation at hand.

At one point, Meghan says: “I just want to get to the other side of all of this”.

Harry takes part in an interview where he reveals the family’s response to the racism-based hatred Meghan received from the press and on social media.

He also looks back on the statement he published just days after they started dating, which condemned the articles which had “racist undertones”.
