Matt Hancock was booed after attending a comedy gig hosted by his I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! camp mate Seann Walsh.
The former Health Secretary attended Seann’s gig at London’s Soho Theatre, alongside girlfriend Gina Coladangelo, in his first public appearance since announcing that he would not be standing for re-election.
I’m a Celeb star and musician Boy George was also in the audience to watch Seann’s first gig since leaving the jungle.

However, The Mirror reports that when Seann came onto stage to start the show, he announced that Matt was in the audience – leading to a backlash that saw some attendees walk out and boos from the crowd.
Seann could be heard saying: “Come on you can make more noise than that. Matt Hancock is here tonight.”
“It is sold out tonight. About a month ago I could not sell out a phone box but here we are.”
He continued: “I won’t bang on about Covid obviously it was a while ago now. But do you remember the 5pm briefings?” adding: “Not for a second did I ever think while I was watching that TV that one day I would be in the jungle being an undercover mole with Matt Hancock.
“I certainly did not think that one day I would watch that man wash.”
However, one attendee walked out of the gig with his wife, saying to Seann: “You should not have let Matt Hancock in here. It is an absolute disgrace. I can’t believe you joke about it.”
When Seann tried to calm the couple down, saying: “It is a comedy show,” the man could be heard replying: “It is not a comedy when people in families have died is it? It is not a comedy.”
The Mirror reports that Seann looked slightly shaken by the comments, before telling the audience after the couple left: “I told my mum not to let my dad come. He is absolutely furious. I cannot believe this.
“Oh my God. Matt, I am going to go to a different bar after the gig. It is just some comedy, relax people.”
The audience are reported to have then laughed, before Seann added: “That was the most awkward moment I have ever experienced in my life.”
The comedian later posted photographs of himself with Matt, Gina and Boy George after the show on Instagram, showing the former camp mates sharing a drink together.
He captioned the post: “Tonight’s gig was, erm, eventful. That’s the last time I let my dad come to the show.”
