The famous DJ who worked alongside Ellen DeGeneres on her self-titled talk show, reportedly took his own life at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Law enforcement sources told the publication that Stephen’s wife, Allison Holker, ran into the station on Tuesday morning because she was concerned that her husband had left home without his car.
Shortly after, around 11:15am, paramedics were called for a medical emergency at an LA hotel as they found the DJ there. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ellen shared a touching tribute to Stephen on her Twitter as she wrote: “I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light.
“He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children – Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.”
Stephen started DJing on Ellen’s show in 2014 and became executive producer in 2020. He stayed working alongside the host up until the show ended in 2020.
Speaking to TMZ, Allison said her husband “lit up every room he stepped into”, adding that he valued “family, friends and community above all else”.
She described him as the “backbone” of the family and said he was the “best husband and father and an inspiration to his fans”.
Allison wrapped up the tribute by saying: “I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honour his memory.
“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
The news comes days after Stephen celebrated his nine-year wedding anniversary with his wife as he shared a series of photos on his Instagram feed from the big day.
He wrote to her: “Happy anniversary my love”, followed by an influx of love heart emojis.
Just one day before his tragic death, he and Allison had filmed a dance together as they looked happy while filming the clip in front of their Christmas Tree.
Tributes have poured in for Stephen in the comments of his recent post, with one friend writing: “Words can’t express my sadness. MY love and prayers to you, Allison and the children.”
Another added: “This does not seem real. So heart broken over this tragedy. So so sorry Allison. Sending you so much love and prayers for you and your family.”
