Danniella Westbrook has shared a snap of herself with her beloved dad after a “lovely day spent with my pops” as he battles dementia.
The former EastEnders star, 49, posted on Instagram that it was a “blessing” to have her father Andrew, 74, in her life and that “I love my dad so much”.
Danniella wrote: “A lovely day spent with my Pops , we haven’t stopped laughing and my Aunty popped in too. What a blessing it is to have my dad in my life.

“Dementia is heartbreaking but he’s very lucky his isn’t that bad hopefully it stays that way. I love my dad so very much.”
One fan reacted to her emotional post by saying: “Heya Polly from Scotland, your dad looks like the singer Nick Drake, have a very merry Christmas,” while another added: “Hope your dad is OK xxxx.”
In an equally emotional comment, a third fan wrote: “It’s the two year anniversary of my daddy on the 16th – he had Lewy body dementia – I was and always will be his little girl.
“Towards the end he was like my child – I treasured my time as his daughter but I treasure the time I became his carer… love to you and ur dad & family.”

Another simply commented: “Awwww god love you xx cherish every moment darl xx.”
It comes a month after it was reported that ex-I’m A Celeb star Danniella was returning to acting in panto and “is now much like the late Barbara Windsor,” according to X Factor pal Simon Gross.
