Amanda Holden burst into tears on Britain’s Got Talent: Ultimate Magician after she was reunited with the woman who saved her life.

Viewers were left open-mouthed as the judge, 51, was invited onto the stage by former BGT winner Richard Jones during Sunday’s special episode.

The magician asked Amanda to choose a card, later asking her to name someone who she thought about a lot and helped her through a tough time, and she named Pippa Nightingale.

The midwife had helped her through the loss of her stillborn child, with Amanda choking back tears as she said “she’s the woman who saved my life”.

Showing her the card – with Pippa’s name on it – Richard placed his hand on a mirrored box before a woman came into view behind it – and Amanda burst into tears and revealed it was Pippa.

There was a tearful reunion as the pair embraced one another as Alesha Dixon looked on shocked.

The TV presenter – who has daughters Lexi and Hollie with husband Chris Hughes – was left heartbroken in 2011 when her little boy Theo died in the womb.

Too upset to give birth, Amanda opted for a caesarean at Westminster University Hospital to deliver her stillborn child – and Pippa was one of the midwives who helped her come through the trauma of the operation.

Viewers were left stunned by the magician’s card trick, with one writing: “How did Richard do that? Omg,” with another saying: “Once again, Richard proving he’s amazing.”
