Christine McGuinness admits kids don't know about Paddy split as they're 'too young'

Christine McGuinness has admitted that her children do not know about her split from television presenter Paddy McGuinness.

She opened up to OK! Magazine about her break-up with the TV presenter and revealed that their children are still in the dark about the situation.

Christine and Paddy share three children together and when asked whether they were aware of the split, she admitted that they don’t know “at all”.

She said: “No, not at all, they’re so young. I’m trying to just stick to their normal routine. Take them to school in the morning, pick them up, try to work while they’re at school and take them to after-school clubs and just try to stick to normal life as much as possible.”

The couple recently split up but are protecting the kids

Christine continued: “I love being a mum and I’m so happy that I’ve got the children – that’s just the biggest blessing in my whole life and certainly the biggest blessing to come out of my marriage.”

The star went on to gush over her three children and share her appreciation for the youngsters in her life.

She ended with: “I’m going to love these babies forever – that’s my little family forever, it’s gorgeous. I can’t complain about that. That’s what I’ve got at the end of it, so I’m happy and lucky.”

The family will be spending Christmas together

Paddy and Christine announced their split back in the summer after a social media message informed their fans of their unfortunate decision.

Although they’ve decided to go their separate ways, the couple are focussed on their kids and will be spending Christmas together.

The decision was made as “that is what the children are used to” and even though the parents “don’t know what the future holds,” they will continue to “try and keep things as normal as possible”.

Christine confirmed that she is “amicable” with Paddy and is “quite happy for him to be there with the children,” as it is “nice to see Mummy and Daddy just being alright”.

She even admitted that they can “sit and have a cup of tea together” and be “fine”.

Christine doesn’t want her children to “be aware of anything other than them being happy” as they are all “so young and innocent”.
