EastEnders’ Kush Kazemi star Davood Ghadami looks worlds away from his much-loved BBC soap role after making a slight career U-turn.
The 40-year-old former soap star has made a career change and is currently playing the role of bad guy Abanazar in the pantomime Aladdin at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
Davood is at the helm of the baddie’s role from December 2 until January 2, 2023.

And when in character for his villainous panto role, he looks very different from his stint as Kush in Walford.
Taking to his Instagram stories on Sunday night (December 18), Davood shared a behind-the-scenes snap from his panto stint.
It sounded as though the actor was backstage as he spoke into his camera, with music playing in the background and a Christmas tree decorated behind him.
He notified fans of how he was getting a B12 injection, before realising he still had his makeup on.
With eyeliner lining his eyes and his facial hair and beard fuller and darker, with the hair atop his head slightly longer, Davood looked worlds away from Kush.
At the start of the month, Davood shared a snap from the press night of his pantomime in Aylesbury.
Fans were completely stunned by his appearance.
Dressed as his panto character, the Kush star showed off his rippling abs as he performed on stage.
In the comments section, fans of the star couldn’t help but swoon.
One person penned: “Woahhhhh you got a body like the genie too,” referring to his rippling abs and muscles.
“You look amazing! Hope it went well x,” gushed another.
“Looking good,” noted a third.
While a fourth wrote: “Looking great, lovely!”
Davood joined EastEnders as Kush in 2014 after appearing in Taggart in 2010 and BBC medical programmes Doctors and Casualty.
The actor stayed in his role of Kush until 2021 when the character was killed off by Gray Atkins when he was pushed under a train at a tube station.
EastEnders airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
