Strictly's Ola and James Jordan criticised over 'fake' weight loss transformation snaps

Former Strictly Come Dancing professionals James and Ola Jordan have faced a barrage of criticism over accusations the pair had doctored their weight loss transformation snaps on Instagram.

The husband and wife duo have shed almost seven and a half stone between them in just five months after publicly airing their “embarrassment” over their former size.

Ola, 40, and James, 44, have shared several images and videos in the last two weeks to showcase their journey, but fans appear to be less than impressed, describing the results as “fake” and manipulated.

The couple are set to launch Dance Shred – a diet and exercise plan – which has only fuelled speculation amongst followers that their weight gain was a deliberate ploy to later capitalise on subsequent weight loss.

One follower commented: “While I applaud your obvious weight loss, they are three different poses, stances, in different lighting with different angles. If you want to be realistic be consistent.”

Another had doubts: “Not sure I’m believing the first photo.”

A third wrote: “The stance is different in all of them and last one airbrushed. You have done well losing them weight but come on be realistic with your photos. Classic January.”

And a fourth bemoaned: “Amazing how you gained and lost all that weight just in time to start selling your dodgy new years weight loss scam. Almost as amazing as how quickly you delete comments that point that out.”

James’ weight, meanwhile, peaked at 15st 6lb before falling to just 11st 6lb.

Discussing their pounds-shedding, he told the Sun: “We spent our whole lives looking our best when we were dancing, so we were like: ‘Let’s start dancing again.’

“It was about going back to what we know.”
