The Masked Singer star Davina McCall confessed she’s been in talks with ITV about presenting a “middle-aged’ version of Love Island.
The presenter, 55, appeared on The Diary Of A CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett where she discussed making the first move to create opportunities at work.
The former Big Brother host told the Dragon’s Den star: “I have got no embarrassment or shame about emailing the head of a TV company and saying, ‘Have you thought about this? Can I present that if it happens?'”

She then confessed that she has been “begging” ITV to consider her as presenter for a revamped Love Island if the idea ever transcends on screen.
The TV star continued: “I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life Love Island. I could fill a villa in Love Island with middle age people with the best back stories you have ever heard in your life.
“They’ve lived a life. They’re widows. They’re people who have been through horrific divorces. They are people who have split up with somebody and decided they want to try and go out with somebody of the same sex as them. Like interesting people!”
“I’d watch that show,” she whispered, adding: “And I was like, ‘I need to present it, please!”
When asked what ITV have responded to this, Davina explained: “They said, ‘Oh, we’re looking at something else that’s quite similar, we might consider you for that’.”
Speaking about how making the first move has now made ITV bosses consider her for the potential role, the Million Pound Drop presenter said: “You’ve got to make opportunities happen, they never just come to you!”
While sat across from the 30-year-old businessman, Davina also admitted that she first took drugs at the age of 12.
The self-confessed fitness fanatic said she smoked weed with her mum, Florence while they were living in France.
The mum-of-three went on to say she started taking cocaine with her sister, Caroline before then also doing the Class A drug with her mum.
