Love Island producers have reportedly signed their first ever partially-sighted contestant for the show’s Winter series.
Ron Hall, 26, suffered from a football accident when he was younger which left him blind in his right eye.
The romantic hopeful from Essex is reportedly already in South Africa quarantining a week before the show’s launch on 16th January, where eager singletons will take over the £1.2million mansion in the hopes of finding love.

A source told The Sun that the signing is a positive move for “more diversity on-screen” after Tasha Ghouri became the first disabled contestant to join the popular dating show last year.
“The casting team are excited by the signing,” the source revealed. “It’s a really positive move to have more diversity on-screen, especially as there are so few blind people on telly.”
They added: “Ron is great guy, he’s got loads of mates and is sports mad, he loves golf and has recently taken up boxing. He’s keen to meet new people and, hopefully, find love.”
“He’s also really open about his disability and is hoping to raise awareness and help others by discussing it on screen,” the source concluded.
So far, the Love Island bosses have also signed Boohoo model Tanya Manhenga, who was announced as the Winter version’s first Islander.
Bosses have reportedly been in talks to take on fashion influencer Chloe Nicole, with sources telling The Sun that she’d be “the perfect islander.”
They said “gorgeous and funny” Chloe would be great for the show, although nothing has been set in stone as yet.
Chloe also knows Indiyah Pollock from the 2022 series and would reportedly “jump at the chance” to join the villa.
Chloe hinted at talks with producers, posting a snap for her 13.3K Instagram follower with a caption claiming she’s in “high demand.”
