Coronation Street fans all say the same thing as furious Gary lashes out at Max

Coronation Street viewers were left fuming tonight after Gary Windass lashed out at Max Turner.

In the latest episode today (January 8), Max and David returned to the cobbles following the near-bomb explosion that took place last week.

The majority of the street’s residents soon lashed out at Max – but Gary Windass appeared to be a lot more enraged than others.

And fans watching the iconic soap at home were left fuming, branding the character “not so innocent” himself.

Shortly after leaving the police station, David and Max arrived on the street, much to the shock of Gary.

“What’s he doing out?” he proclaimed, watching the father and son walk on the street.

“He’s cooperating with police and he’s totally innocent,” David fired back.

“Innocent? Did you see what happened to Alta? That bomb would have caused carnage,” Gary replied.

“But because of Max it didn’t, so you should be thanking him, quipped David.

Max then chimed in saying: “I haven’t done anything wrong,” to which Gary and Maria Connor burst out in laughter.

Alya then appeared, looking for worse for wear, and defended 16-year-old Max.

“You guys need to back off. Whatever max might have said or done in the past, he did the right thing in the end,” she said.

Seeming to diffuse the situation, Alya added: “He got mixed up with the wrong crowd, a very wrong crowd.

“As long as he’s learned his lesson, maybe we could move on, I what’s what I want.”

“I want him to move on, as far away from here as possible,” Gary raged before storming off.

Following the explosive scene, it seemed some viewers were enraged by Gary lashing out at Max.

Especially considering the dad-of-two has committed multiple murders and been mixed up in many dodgy dealings over the years.

“Gary the murderer telling Max the almost murderer to leave the street,” one fan proclaimed.

Another use penned: “To hear him, you’d think Gary Windarse was squeaky clean.”

“Can understand Gary’s anger but he ain’t exactly the most innocent person! He’s committed more than a murder or 2!” a third viewer raged.

Echoing their thoughts, someone else wrote: “One rule for Gary – another for everyone else!”
