Emmerdale viewers all say same thing as iconic character 'missing' from ITV soap

Emmerdale fans were left feeling rather elated during the latest episode after Chas Dingle appeared to disappear from the soap.

The character played by Lucy Pargeter has been the centre of controversy after her affair with late businessman Al Chapman came to light.

But eagle-eyed viewers noticed that she didn’t appear on Monday night’s episode (January 9), nor did she star in last week Friday’s programme.

Viewers have also seen to taken Paddy’s side as many believed Chas’ attitude throughout the last few months has been appalling.

Talking to Radio Times he said: “There’s plenty of bickering and drama and hatred to come.

“But it’s been quite colourful, because you can’t be that negative all the way through, so the scripts that we’ve had at the moment have still been quite good fun to do.

“There have been different paces and different angles. They’ve coloured it in very, very well, to say that it’s a couple falling out badly,” he explained.
