Dancing on Ice chaos as Ekin-Su announces she's 'very ill' days before ITV1 launch show

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has been put on bed rest days before her Dancing on Ice debut.

The Love Island winner, 28, is set to take to the ice for the first time this weekend with partner Brendyn Hatfield.

However, she’s been “banned” from training ahead of the launch show on Sunday (January 15).

Ekin-Su took to Twitter on Thursday (January 12) to break the news to her fans: “Very ill. Doctors have told me to rest hopefully I can recover very quickly ready for Sunday.”

Unsurprisingly, her dedicated followers sent well wishes to the reality star to recover quickly and prioritise her health over being ready for her first routine.

Ekin-Su recently lifted her dress up on Good Morning Britain to show off her injuries so far.

She was joined on the breakfast show by her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti as the pair promoted their ITV2 show Homecoming.

“It’s gone now but I’ve got bruises and I’ve lost a toe!” she exclaimed.

GMB host Ranvir Singh leaned in closer to inspect the dark marks along Ekin-Su’s leg, commenting: “Oh you’ve got bruises!”

After having a look at Ekin-Su’s injury, co-host Ben Shepherd quickly reassured her that she’d “lost a toenail, not a toe”.

Ekin-Su went on to describe what had happened that resulted in the missing toenail.

“I’ve lost a toenail, it went backwards but it’s great,” she said, smiling and laughing through the pain.

Other famous faces appearing on the 2023 series include Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher, TOWIE legend Joey Essex, EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer and The Wanted hunk Siva Kaneswaran.

Dancing on Ice returns to ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday, January 15 at 6.30pm
