Amanda Holden has said “it will be a good idea” for Alan Carr to replace David Walliams on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 51-year-old judge appeared on The One Show on Friday (January 13) to promote her new renovation show Amanda and Alan’s Italian Job, which also stars Alan Carr.
However, conversation turned to who she thinks would be best to fill David’s vacant seat on the panel.

When asked if she thought her new co-star Alan would be good at the job, the mother of two teased: “Well, watch this space.”
Host Alex Jones said: “That was good”
“I was really contained and found my filter.”
“It’s a good idea. We’ll miss David but it’ll be a good idea.”
It comes after it was reported that comedian Alan was set to join the BGT panel this year.
According to Daily Mail, the stand-up star was handed the role after telly bosses decided he would be the perfect addition to the team alongside head judge Simon Cowell, Amanda and Alesha Dixon.
The beloved stand-up sta is best known for his hilarious Channel 4 series Alan Carr: Chatty Man and has recently launched a new renovation show with his close pal and fellow judge Amanda, titled The Italian Job.
Little Britain star David left the ITV talent show after recordings emerged of him making vile comments about two contestants on the show during auditions back in January 2020.
A source close to the ITV series has since revealed to the publication: “Alan is hilarious but also kind. He tells a mean joke but he is also soft in the middle.
“The bosses are already excited about how wonderful he will be with the contestants. He will complement the panel so well too, he is really close friends with Amanda and he has known Simon and Alesha for years too.
