Paty Palmer has admitted she was once so addicted to drugs that she chain-smoked powerful skunk cannabis minutes before she was due to pick up her children from school.
The mum-of-four – who played the role of Bianca Jackson in EastEnders for 13 years – even revealed how she regularly turned up to work on the BBC One soap high on ecstasy, something she is “amazed” to have survived.
Since she left the soap back in 2019, the Dancing on Ice star has gone on to reinvent herself as a wellness guru in the heart of California.

But before she got a hold of her addiction, the soap star shared some of her darkest moments as a addict in her autobiography titled, All Of Me: Life, Love And Addiction.
In the eye-opening book, the star revealed how she hit an all-time low after skipping an important day of meetings to stay home and watch This Morning on TV while smoking dope and eating doughnuts.
It was on that day back in September 2004, that Patsy found herself unable to stop abusing drugs at home, squeezing in spliffs between school runs.
In the surprising extract, the TV star recalled: “My hands were shaking as I looked at the Rizla papers on the side.
“The night before, I’d put away the puff – my skunk weed, otherwise known as super-strong marijuana – on top of a cupboard, hoping that when I woke up in the morning I’d have forgotten about it.”
It was at this point the auburn beauty confessed that she had found herself making excuses to slip way for a drag of the spliff including doing household chores.
The soap star continued: “I took the vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard. I loathe housework… it was the most normal thing I could think of.
“A minute later I was on the couch, watching This Morning and smoking a big, fat joint”.

Luckily, Patsy’s path to recovery started the very next day, when she attended a Twelve Steps Fellowship convention.
It’s clear to see the loving mum has come on leaps and bounds since then, and now prepares to take to the ice with her professional skating partner Matt Evers on the ITV talent show.
