I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contest Matt Hancock has been given a rather luxury gift – having been offered a free hair transplant.
It comes just days after the disgraced MP addressed recent speculation that he had jetted out to Istanbul, Turkey, to undergo a dramatic makeover ahead of a celebrity career.
Each year, thousands of Brits flock to Turkey for a cheaper alternative to cosmetic surgery, with hair transplants costing anywhere from £8000 – £20,000 in the UK – with clinics in Turkey often charging a lot less than this.

Hancock, 44, addressed the speculation, insisting that he was there purely for a holiday but leading clinic EsteNove has offered the Chester-born MP the chance to get a free makeover.
Addressing the speculation, Hancock told his TikTok followers: “I did go to Istanbul at the weekend, but this story has no teeth. It’s hair today, gone tomorrow.”
Speaking to Daily Star, co-founder Batuhan Kizilcan said: “We would be delighted to welcome Matt Hancock back to Istanbul and to offer him a hair transplant at our clinic.
“He displays the classic signs of a receding hairline which is more and more common in younger men.
“What people should understand is that hair loss is now a reversible condition.
“We hope Matt will take up the chance of acquiring a new head of hair that will serve him well as he embarks on his post-political career.”
The clinic charges between £2,500 and £3,000 for the full procedure which also includes flights, hotel accommodation and medication after the treatment – a stark contrast to the UK’s costs.
EsteNove claims to have seen a “Zoom boom” in hair transplant procedures after many people were left staring at themselves on the online video calling platform during lockdown.
It’s believed that 98% of the patients treated at the Turkish clinic are male who have shown signs of male pattern baldness, with some even often for beard and eyebrow transplants.
Depending on the patient’s needs and the number of grafts transplanted, the operation takes five to eight hours under local anaesthesia.
To reduce pain, EsteNove uses a special device to shoot anaesthetics into the skin without any injections.
Speaking about men flocking to the clinic, Kizilcan said that the demographic is getting younger, with around 18% of the patients being between 20 and 39 years old.
He said: “We are definitely seeing much greater interest in hair transplants as an option among men in their 20s, there is clear scientific evidence that premature hair loss in men is becoming increasingly common.
“There is a great deal of debate among experts as to the reasons for this, but we know hormones, diet and stress are clear factors, The sooner people seek help, the better.”
