Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen shares frank confession about split from ex Clive

Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has candidly opened up about her split from ex Clive after 22 years of marriage.

The former couple shot to fame on the Channel 5 series in 2018 that followed their lives on Ravenseat Farm in Swaledale, North Yorkshire.

But in June last year, Amanda and Owen, who share nine children together, announced they had called it quits.

Now, 48-year-old Amanda has reflected on their split in a new interview calling it “tough,” but admitting that they “just have to get on with it.”

“Look, there are two simple facts: if he thought I was brilliant, and I thought he was brilliant, then we wouldn’t have separated,” the shepherdess told Radio Times.

“It’s a fact, isn’t it? But, you know what, that’s not unique, it’s just how things are, pressures, all the rest of it.

“But we have nine kids, with associated friends, girlfriends, and we just have to get on with it.”

It seems Amanda’s not really a fan of the term co-parenting though, as she thinks it’s a buzzword that means “we take it in turns to shout at the kids.”

The couple share children, Raven, 21, Reuben, 19, Miles, 16, Edith, 14, Violet, 12, Sidney, 11, Annas, 9, Clemmy, 7, and six-year-old Nancy.

Amanda and Clive share nine children

Amanda, who is better known as the Yorkshire Shepherdess, first found fame with Clive and their eldest children in 2011 when they appeared as regulars on the Adrian Edmondson documentary series The Dales on ITV.

After the duo landed their Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm seven years later, fans were quickly taken with their family and dubbed them the “Kardashians of the Countryside”.

Both Amanda and Clive have announced new projects since their marriage ended, with the mum-of-nine set to travel across the UK to meet with other farmers and learn about their inspirational stories.

The six-part show is called Amanda Owen’s Extraordinary Farming Lives and will feature on Channel 4.

It has also been reported that Amanda’s earnings have catapulted following her split with Clive, with MailOnline revealing she has doubled her earnings to a massive six-figure salary.

Her business is now believed to be worth £343,924 – a massive increase of £177,995 from the year before – as claimed by new data filed on 31st December for 2021.
