McFly star Tom Fletcher has issued a health update after being rushed to hospital with a painful eye condition.
The 37-year-old star underwent six weeks of steroid treatment to treat a bout of uveitis after rushing to the hospital back in December due to painful symptoms.
Tom has now confirmed he is on the mend and back working.

He told his two million Instagram followers: “Happy New Year! I think this is the first time that I have been on this year.
“I was a bit ill over Christmas… I was really ill over Christmas – I had this thing with my eye.
“Anyway, it is a long story, but I just wanted to say sorry I’ve not been on here much, I’ve been snowed under with work.”
The Strictly Come Dancing star then explained that he has been working on two musicals and a novel at the same time which he said is “fun but challenging”.
The eye condition is caused by inflammation of the middle layer of the eye, called the uvea or uveal tract.
It can cause eye pain and changes to your vision and needs to be treated early to avoid risk of glaucoma or cataracts, according to the NHS.
He penned at the time: “I was wiped out with some sort of illness and in bed for a few days. I just got back on my feet yesterday and uveitis decided to kick me down again.
“For now, it’s dark rooms, sunglasses and 6 weeks of steroids.”
Just last week, Tom was still describing his eye as “dodgy” but vowed that it “wasn’t going to stop” him.
Tom added his gratitude to the NHS for their ‘amazing’ help and personally singled out his “hero” optician.
He wrote: “Very grateful to have a dedicated eye A&E hospital in London! It’s the 2nd time I’ve stumbled into that place holding my eyes and they’ve been amazing.
“Also, shout out to my amazing optician, Dipesh at @parkerandhammond who was giving me advice at nearly midnight last night. Hero!”
He added another selfie, where he gave a thumbs up and sported a pair of black sunglasses to protect his vision.
His famous friends and followers flooded the comments section wishing the singer well.
Lisa Snowden wrote: “Ouch- feel better soon’ followed by a heart emoji.
While Tom’s bandmate Harry Judd took a different tack, and joked: “That’s an elaborate excuse for pink eye.”
