Love Island 2023 lookalikes – 'twin' sister, hot lingerie model and Radio 1 'gobs***e'

Love Island 2023 has kicked off with a bang but fans are feeling a bit of dejü-vu.

Host Maya Jama welcomed 11 sexy singletons to the South African villa during Monday’s (January 16) launch of series nine.

1.7million viewers tuned in as five couples were created and one bombshell made a shock arrival.

However, while getting to know the newbies, fans couldn’t help but think they’ve seen some cast members in the villa before.

Daily Star has taken a look at some of the doppelgängers viewers have pointed out from the first episode.

Anna-May Robey – India Reynolds

Welsh beauty Anna-May has been compared to lingerie model India by viewers.

The brunette payroll assistant coupled up with Haris Namani during the launch episode.

Unlike Anna-May, India joined the cast of the 2019 later in the series as a bombshell.

She found love with Ovie Soko but their romance fizzled out four months after leaving the famous Spanish villa.

They made it all the way to final and finished in third place behind runners-up Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury and winners Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.

Fans will have to wait and see how Anna-May and Haris get on.

Tanyel Revan – Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

Hair stylist Tanyel is the double of Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, say fans.

A browse of Tanyel’s Instagram sees the stunning singleton posing up a storm just like Dancing on Ice beauty Ekin-Su.

Just like Ekin-su, bubbly Tanyel promises to bring some drama to the villa, boasting she’s “funny, loud, feisty, charismatic”.

Fans took to social media to suggest the girls were siblings.

One fan penned: “Tanyel is Ekin-Su’s long lost sister IM TELLING YOU!!”

Another tweeted: “Tanyel is literally Ekin-Su’s twin #LoveIsland.”

A third person wrote: “‘Tanyel is literally an Ekin-Su clone bro #LoveIsland.”

While a fourth agreed: “Love island really said let’s Copy and Paste Ekin-Su for Tanyel.”

Will Young – Charlie Radnedge

Fans think farmer Will borrows his looks from season eight Islander Charlie.

Their blonde quiffs and gym-honed physiques are near identical, but farmer Will, who boasts over one million TikTok fans, will be hoping his Love Island stint lasts longer than Charlie’s eight day stay.

Will is already making viewers laugh at home with his bubbly personality.

He asked partner Olivia if she had any tattoos, to which she replied: ‘No, I’m a clean sheet.”

But showing his farmer roots, Will asked: “A clean sheep?’ sending Olivia into fits of laughter.

Between giggles, she said: “No, a clean sheet!”

She went on to ask him whether he had any tattoos himself, to which Will surprised both her and viewers even more by revealing he had a letter ‘P’ inked on his foot.

He admitted it was the initial of a girl he had “met on holiday” as Olivia laughed and joked that he shouldn’t have told her.

Kai Fagan – Danny Williams

Love Island fans think PE teacher Kai looks similar to season seven Islander Danny Williams.

The lookalike hunks are also both from Manchester, with Kai no doubt hoping to emulate impressive stint in the villa.

When asked what he will bring to the villa, Kai said: I’m pretty lighthearted, I love a laugh. I’m really calm and chilled as well, pretty level headed, quite mature… but not too mature.

Danny appeared in the fifth series of Love Island in 2019, entering as a bombshell on day seven.

On day 36, after the public voted for their favourite couple, it was announced that Danny and Jourdan were one of the three couples with the fewest votes.

Danny and Jourdan were then immediately dumped having been told they’d received the least.

The pair are no longer together.

Lana Jenkins – Mary Bedford

Lana looks similar to is season seven beauty Mary, who made it the main villa after making her debut as a Casa Amor bombshell.

With her long blonde hair and tanned curves, make-up artist Lana resembles Mary’s stunning looks.

However, she already has her own claim to fame though, revealing she appeared in an episode of ITV comedy series Benidorm when she was six years old and living in Spain.

Her work as a make-up artist sees her mixing with “lots of celebrities” including pal Michelle Keegan, who has already wished her luck in the villa.

Before entering the villa, Lana said: “I fall in love quickly.

“I tend to know quite soon if I could fall in love with that person and then, as long as everything is going well, I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week.”

Ron Hall – Scott Thomas

Ron has been compared to Love Island series two finalist Scott by some eagle-eyed viewers.

Scott sailed all the way to the final with then girlfriend Kady McDermott but the pair didn’t last out the villa as a couple.

Ron is hoping to go all with way and win the show with his current partner Lana Jenkins, who previously dated Hollyoaks hunk Owen Warner.

Ron and Lana have quickly come fan favourites and fans have taken to social media to share their support for the couple.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Lana & Ron will win #LoveIsland.”

Another added: “If Ron and Lana stay together throughout, they will win.”

“Calling it now, Ron and Lana to win,” a third person predicted.

While a fourth agreed: “Lana and Ron are the new Molly Smith & Callum Jones. Reckon they’ll last and win it”

Olivia Hawkins – Kady McDermott

Olivia is a body double for the likes of Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson but its series two bombshell Kady McDermott who is her Love Island lookalike, according to fans.

The two brunette’s sizzling Instagram snaps are near identical with their glam lifestyles and love of a skimpy bikini.

Olivia already has plenty of claims to fames ahead of her villa stint, with a string of reality star pals including Sam Faiers, while she stood in for Brassic star Michelle Keegan while shooting an ad for the actress’ Very campaign in 2017.

The 2023 star has also starred in music videos for Craig David and DJ Tom Zanetti and been a backing dancer for Charli XCX at Wembley.

Like Olivia, Kady is not shy when it comes to posing for the camera and she often shares racy lingerie snaps with her followers.

She reached the series two final in 2016 with Scott Thomas but the pair split up after leaving the villa.

Tom Clare – Jordan North

Bombshell Tom entered the villa at the end of the launch show.

The semi-professional footballer will get to pick which girl he’d like to steal from one of the lads in the villa.

Despite not having as much air time as the others yet, ITV2 viewers were left thinking he had a resemblance of Radio 1 presenter Jordan North.

One fan penned: “Tom? No that bombshell is Jordan North”

Another added: “Tom looks like Jordan North.”

A third person said: “Tom looks like if post surgery Zac Efron had a kid with Jordan North.”

Former I’m A Celebrity star Jordan has even addressed fans’ observation himself.

Retweeing a fans message, Jordan penned: “Imagine waiting your whole life to go on #LoveIsland training and eating well the weeks before to be told you look like some beer bellied gosbs***e off the radio. Poor Tom!”
