Love Island's Davide admits he didn't start loving Ekin-Su until their final date

Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti has revealed when he started loving girlfriend Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

The Italian hunk won the eighth series of the ITV2 dating show with Ekin-Su last summer.

He appeared on the Love Island: The Morning After podcast on Thursday (Januaury 19) to open up about his thoughts on the new batch of sexy singletons currently in the South African villa.

Host Sam Thompson asked: “Who’s dropping the L-bomb first?”

Co-host Indiyah Polack, who also appeared in the 2022 series of Love Island, replied: “Probably Lana [Jenkins]. Not sure who to though.”

Sam replied: “I think it might be Ron [Hall] to Zara but might be Shaq [Muhammad] to Tanya [Manhenga].”

Indiyah agreed: “It will be Shaq soon.”

Davide answered: “I think it’s too early.”

Sam clarified: “It could be in two weeks, three weeks, but who will drop the L-bomb first?”

While Indiayah and Davide agreed it was “too early” to call, Sam added that he thinks Kai Fagan will maybe the first one to declare his love in the villa to partner Tanyel Revan.

Sam went on to ask: “How early is too early to fall in love? Davide, when did you love Ekin?”

Davide replied: “I started really liking her after the date at the vineyard.

“I started changing my idea about her and yeah, it was probably the last date when I felt I actually love her.”

He was seen supporting his girlfriend as she performed on Dancing on Ice over the weekend.

Despite giving a racy performance, she received the least amount of public votes will be have to perform again in the skate-off this Sunday, January 22.

After finding out she was at the bottom, Ekin-Su appeared disappointed as she said: “I’ve been really ill as well, and it’s like, I know it’s not an excuse, but I just got back up and, you know.”
