Inside Dancing on Ice judge Jayne Torvill’s lavish East Sussex family home

Dancing on Ice has finally returned to our screens and it’s fair to say the series kicked off with a bang as 11 new celebrities took to the ice to wow fans with their impressive moves.

Returning to the judging panel is Olympic legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher who have continued to remain close pals after their stellar win back in 1984.

Their unbreakable bond has often left ITV viewers wondering if there was anything more to their close friendship, with many often questioning if they’re a married couple.

But the 64-year-old pro skater has a loving husband Phil Christensen who she shares two beautiful children with in her lavish Sussex home.

Meanwhile her former skating partner Christopher has been married twice and also has two children.

The skating expert and her supportive husband have been married for more than 30 years now and went on to adopt their two teenage children together, named Kieran and Jessica, after the couple struggled to conceive.

Now, the loved-up couple share a beautiful home with their gorgeous family in the heart of East Sussex which the blonde bombshell occasionally shares with her loyal legion of fans on social media.

As the 15th series of the beloved skating competition gets underway, Daily Star has taken a peek inside the judge’s sprawling family home.

After her impressive career both on and off the ice, the star now boasts a glamorous home which features numerous spacious rooms including her statement kitchen.

Stepping back through the archives, the loving mum-of-two gave her 98.5k followers an insight into her gorgeous kitchen as she shared her daughter’s birthday wishes online.

While the youngster proudly beamed beside an enormous birthday balloon, viewers got a closer look at her stunning kitchen in the backdrop.

In the sweet snap, the TV presenter showed off her gorgeous wooden-themed kitchen which featured a large wooden Island surrounded by plenty of chairs ready to host even the largest of parties.

Sat on top of the gorgeous stone flooring was also a large dining table spotted in the distance which the entire family can gather around beneath a large mural of a tree which stretches up the kitchen wall.

Her beautiful natural theme continues into the bathroom, where Jayne opted to decorate the room in beautiful leafy tiling as she posed up a storm beside her rainfall shower.

Stepping into the dining room, the blonde beauty posed up a storm with one of her adorable dogs Lulu as she showed off her statement floor-to-ceiling window which looked out to her lush green garden.

Keeping with the cottage core theme running throughout the house, the loving mum opted for gorgeous cream tartan sofas in her open-plan living room.

She accessorised the room with brown leather cushions and tied the room together with a large cream rug in the centre of the room.

Moving outside, the skating star has a huge garden which is beautifully decorated with matching turquoise plant pots filled with blossoming flowers.

There are also reclining chairs visible on her lawn in order to top up her golden tan suring the summer months which are posed beside a wooden dining table making it the perfect spot for a summer BBQ.

Jayne shared another sneak peek at her home as she posed up a storm in a rainbow print jumper which she paired with khaki green shorts.

Jayne and her husband, who celebrated their pearl wedding anniversary back in 2021, occasionally delight they loyal legion of fans with sweet snaps together.

And it’s clear to see the loved-up pair are very happy together after updating fans with their sweet family snaps with their children and dogs online.

It comes after the TV star opened up about her difficulties growing the loving family she had always dreamed off after she was forced to abort an ectopic pregnancy years ago.

Discussing her life as a mother during an interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, the TV star revealed how she’d suffered an ectopic pregnancy in her youth.

She explained: “As a couple skating together, it’s easy for the the guy to go off and start a family because it wouldn’t affect his skating.

“Whereas for me, it would have stopped what we were doing, so I left it quite late and I was into my forties by then.”

Jayne went on: “I got pregnant quite quickly and I thought, ‘Oh this is fine.’ And when I went to have a scan, they said I had an ectopic pregnancy, and I didn’t know what that meant.

“They said, ‘The embryo’s growing in one of the tubes’ and I said, ‘Oh okay, so how do you get it out then?’ and they said, ‘We don’t, we can’t’.

“That’s when it hit me. So, I went through the surgery and then it was obvious it was going to be more difficult. So, we tried IVF for about a year. That, as a lot of women know, is traumatic in itself.”
