Chris Evans reacts to Jeremy Renner's revelation that he broke 30 bones in accident

Chris Evans has sent a jokey message to his Avengers co-star, Jeremy Renner, after the actor issued an update on his condition while currently in hospital.

Jeremy, 52, was involved in an accident with a snow plow, which almost crushed him to death.

The actor took to social media to thank his fans for their thoughtful messages following the incident, uploading an image of himself receiving physical therapy after breaking “30 plus bones”.

In the image, the actor could be seen laid in bed as a healthcare professional manipulated his limbs.

Jeremy laid back with his head on two pillows as a masked doctor bent his right knee, positioning it upward, while his left leg was elevated with a pillow.

Uploading the image to Twitter, he captioned it: “Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens.”

Chris jokily responded to the tweet with: “That’s one tough mf’er. Has anyone even checked on the snowcat???”

He added: “Sending so much love”, before Jeremy replied: “Love you brother…. I did check on the snow cat, she needs fuel,” adding a wink and laughing emoji.

Jeremy then uploaded the same image to Instagram, with a longer, more detailed caption.

It read: “Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love.

He then finished the caption with his previous tweet and signed it off with “Love and blessings to you all.”

The actor’s sister, Kym, spoke to People about Jeremy’s health, and that he continues to work hard with his therapy team in hospital.

She said: “If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around. He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead.”
