Love Island branded 'rigged' as former contestant shares what viewers don't see on show

Former Love Island contestant Brad McClelland revealed some behind-the-scenes secrets from his time in the villa in 2021.

The 27-year-old star told the Chat S**t Get Cancelled podcast that producers would often join him and his fellow contestants inside the villa.

He told listeners that the producers were “good craic” but would also orchestrate new conversations and sometimes even arguments.

“This is the mad thing because people didn’t realise,” he started. “There’s a producer also in that villa with you, walking around, they’re actually really good craic.”

“But obviously, they’re never in shot. Sometimes you would be having conversations with someone and they’d come up on the tannoy like ‘Brad and Jake, could you go and have that conversation over there’,” Brad added.

He continued: “On the way to the beach hut there would actually be a producer there and the producer would be like, ‘Oh, you’re not actually going to the beach hut, we’ve actually pulled you in here because we think it would be good if you went and pulled blah blah blah for a chat to discuss this, that and the other’.”

Fans in the comments of the podcast clip posted to TikTok were shocked to have learned the secret about the show.
