Coronation Street newcomer Amy Robbins made her debut as Christine on Monday (January 23and is no doubt ready to wreak havoc on the cobbles.
The actress, 51, is a well-established soap star and has made appearances in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Holby City, Doctors and Casualty, but her role as Daisy Midgeley’s mother marks her first time in Weatherfield.
Discussing her new role on Wednesday’s instalment of Lorraine, the soap star spoke about the vital piece of advice her brother, Ted Robbins, gave her before she started filming.

The comedian, 67, starred as Brendan Finch in the ITV soap for one year in 2015, arriving as a love interest of Mary Taylor.
Confessing what her brother mentioned about approaching co-stars on set, Amy told the Scottish presenter: “He said if you’re fortunate enough to meet Bill Roache, don’t call him Ken Barlow.
“Because that’s what he did and then he tried to rectify it by calling him Mr Barlow.”
She revealed that her brother also said: “Don’t underestimate how you’re going to feel when you walk into the pub, The Rovers.”
The Heartbeat star gushed that the role of Christine has come at the perfect time in her career, admitting: “I wouldn’t have been able to hack it when I was younger.
Amy is part of a widely talented family as she is also the younger sister of After Life and EastEnders star Kate Robbins as well as the aunt of Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack.
After watching her auntie’s debut, the I’m A Celeb star couldn’t wait to shower her family member with praise on social media.
Taking to her Instagram Story with a photo of Amy on her screen, the 33-year-old penned: “”My amazing Aunty Amy arrives on the cobbles!!!! @amylouiserobbins_”.
Speaking ahead of her on-screen mum’s debut, Diasy actress Charlotte Jordan teased things won’t be smooth sailing.
She explained: “She has literally come up from nowhere and Daisy hasn’t heard from her for a long time, so I don’t know why she thinks she is going to be the centre of the big day!
“Daisy doesn’t want her at the wedding because the relationship isn’t a natural mother/daughter relationship and they don’t have that closeness.”
