Pamela Anderson recalls being sexually abused by babysitter and being raped aged 12

Pamela Anderson has opened up about being a victim of sexual abuse in her tell-all memoir.

The former Baywatch star detailed her past trauma in her upcoming memoir, Love, Pamela, which will be released on Tuesday (January 31).

In the memoir, Pamela spoke about her childhood and revealed that she faced sexual abuse and molestation at the hands of a “female babysitter.”

She told Variety that a female babysitter “sexualized” her by forcing her to play “weird games” on her body.

The reality star added that even though she knew it was wrong, the lady threatened to keep it a secret and shared that she also didn’t speak out in fear for her younger brother.

Pamela Anderson opened up about being sexually abused

Pamela also revealed that an unnamed 25-year-old man raped her when she was 12 and that a boy at school sexually assaulted her.

Talking about the abuse she experienced, Pamela penned in her memoir: “He pushed me with his foot so hard, I had no choice but to open the door when the car was moving and rolled straight into a ditch.

“Mind you. I landed a perfect gymnast dismount at high speed.”

Pamela’s tell-all memoir, Love, Pamela, will be released on Tuesday (January 31)

Pamela also revealed that as she got older, “I noticed most of my boyfriends were bad and progressively got worse.”

After years of sexual abuse, the Hollywood icon is now “dealing with” and processing these tragic incidents.

“Predators look for somebody to do things to that are so humiliating you’d be embarrassed to tell somebody,” the Baywatch alum said.

“Those kinds of things really colour the rest of your life. You block things out, or you’re gonna deal with it later, and I’m dealing with it now.”

She went on to say her experiences have ultimately helped her grow as a person, including bettering her relationship with her ex-Tommy Lee.

“I’m not a victim, and I’m not the damsel in distress,” she said.

“I’ve made my choices in my life. Some obviously were made for me, but I’ve always been able to find myself again. And it’s created a strong person and a strong parent.”
