Louise Thompson back in hospital after 'unexpected situation' as she thanks NHS

Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson revealed she is back in hospital on Tuesday (January 31).

The reality star, 32, has been in and out of hospital since giving birth to her son Leo in November 2021 and has been left with a string of health issues after almost dying twice.

In her latest health update, Louise shared a snap from her hospital bed and thanked the NHS after she was admitted due to an “unexpected situation”.

Addressing her millions of Instagram followers, she wrote: “I’ve been quiet on here recently because I had a bit of an unexpected situation again. Don’t really know what to say right now, except a huge thanks to everyone that’s kept the older ticker ticking.”

“I feel like I’ve very much used up my quota of NHS services at this point. Eeek. I can’t help but feel a bit guilty about it all,” the star added.

She went on to say: “I guess the only message for today is to take NOTHING for granted. Oh and without sounding too dramatic, tell everyone you love them RIGHT NOW.”

Louise was in hospital for five weeks following the birth of her son and later revealed she was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Talking about the traumatizing birth on Instagram, Louise shared a detailed account of the “depressive panic episodes” she was facing.

Louise had shared the lengthy post along with a sweet snap of her cradling Leo, who she shares with Ryan Libbey, as their dog snuggled up next to them.

She said: “I can only write when I am not having a depressive panic episode and luckily right now I am not.”

She added: “My panic episodes can last hours or days and are totally unpredictable. When I’m having one I can’t function, I can’t look after myself, let alone anyone else around me. I can’t even spell my name. I can’t see, I can’t hear, I can’t look anyone in the eye.”

Louise, who is the sister of Sam Thompson, continued: “I’m doing everything I can to try not to spiral… but my subconscious thinks that I’m dying all the time.

“I think I have boxed my experiences up and buried them, but they are coming back to haunt me. All the time.”

Louise finished her post by reaching out to anyone who has also been “trapped in this world of PTSD”.
