Love Island viewers have questioned if there are significant ‘missing’ scenes from the show after an unexpected romance formed in the latest episode.
Viewers of Friday’s show were left baffled when they saw Islanders Olivia Hawkins and Kai Fagan sharing a kiss after a brief chat on the terrace.
Bewildered viewers are now wondering what they missed after the connection between the pair appeared to come from nowhere as they have been consistently involved with other contestants on the hit ITV dating show.

Baffled fans of the show took to Twitter to ask what they had missed as the romantic moment aired.
One wrote: “Ermm did that whole olivia and kai thing come out the blue or what? This years #loveisland is confusing me!”
Another stated: “After WEEKS of hearing about how serious their ‘unfinished business’ was, Olivia and Kai are like… it’s been you all along?? The math is not mathing.”
A third offered: “Maybe Unseen Bits will show when Olivia and Kai became a thing because I am in confusion.”
A fourth social media user Tweeted: “Kai… Olivia was there from day ONE you do know this!?”
A fifth asked: “What happened to Olivia and Tom?”
Viewers had previously seen Olivia step forward for Kai on day one in the villa, but since then she has been firmly interested in Tom Clare who she ended up coupled up with until now dumped rival Zara Lackenby-Brown stole him from her leaving Olivia coupled with Haris Namani until he was dumped.
Tom has since also flirted with Ellie Spence who he shared a secret kiss with, causing a huge argument to kick off among the islanders earlier this week.
The aftermath of that incident saw Tom apologising to Olivia as they both admitted still caring about one another, with her friend zoning Bombshell Spencer Wilks shortly afterwards.
Kai meanwhile has been coupled up with Tanyel Revan but they went their separate ways in the fallout from the arguments surrounding Tom and Ellie’s kiss, with Kai appearing to be geared up to crack on with new Bombshell Samie Elishi.
However, Samie appeared to be keener on forming a connection with Ron Hall at the time, which seemingly has led to Kai discovering his feelings for Olivia.
Two boys now face the axe from the Villa with Friday’s episode ending on a cliffhanger where the girls will have to choose who to save with Kai, Spencer and Australian Love Island star Aaron Waters all vulnerable.
Love Island airs nightly at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
