Dragons' Den viewers say same thing about Sara Davies' outfit as she makes admission

Dragons Den star Sara Davies stunned fans by admitting that her dress was a secondhand rental.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant looked stunning in the zebra print garment which she layered with a hot pink blazer.

Sara, 38, made the admission as she gave her input to an entrepreneur who was pitching her recycled fashion business to the panel.

The businesswoman admitted: “This is a rental dress that has had five previous owners. before I’m wearing it to appear in the Den. It’s a £200 high street dress that’s £25 a go to rent. It was a really easy service to use.

“If I looked five years ago and I was buying secondhand clothes I was having to buy it from eBay or in a charity shop there was nowhere else to buy them. Now, the last 12 months, I have been buying from so many different companies.”

Despite being a fan of the budding business owner’s plan that would see customers subscribe to a service where they exchange five items from their own wardrobe for five new secondhand items monthly, Sara declined the opportunity to invest.

She, as well as her fellow Dragon’s, felt while the concept was good it would be too difficult to mould into a profitable business with the proposed £25 subscription fee.

However, Sara did propose that if she went back to basics with her business and came up with a different model to achieve what she was hoping for she would be happy to consider an investment down the line.

Fans meanwhile took to Twitter to praise Sara for her fashion choices after her confession.

One fan wrote: “I love that Sara rents clothes lol .. she’s a queen and so down to earth.”

A second added: “Sara always seems such a good person, now I find out she’s been wearing secondhand fashion for years too. So proud.”

A third said: “Sara makes that dress look incredible I would never believe it was recycled fashion.”

A fourth social media user tweeted: “I’m sad Sara didn’t invest but I really hope she does later on as this amazing lady deserves a boost for her business and Sara is perfect for it clearly.”
