Coronation Street fans think they’ve spotted a key clue in Laurence’s alibi that proves he really did kill his wife.
Last week, viewers saw Laurence Reeves end things with Sean Tully for good after Sean, Eileen and Todd accused him of murdering his late wife Lindsey while on a trip to the Alps.
Laurence claimed that Lindsey had gone out hiking alone while he was called to a dental emergency in another cabin – though taxi driver Mitch insisted he’d offed his partner to conceal their affair from her.

Though Laurence insisted he was innocent after Sean became suspicious he was trying to kill him too – perhaps to claim on the life insurance – fans aren’t so sure after spotting one flaw in his alibi.
After all, why would Laurence have his dental equipment with him on holiday?
Taking to Twitter, one fan instantly queried: “Could Laurence be lying to Sean here?” as someone else followed up: “I think Laurence is lying to Sean. In the Alps, a dental emergency in another cabin and he went, meaning he must’ve packed his dental equipment with him? Seriously?”
A third fan echoed: “So Laurence had all his dental tools with him while on hollibobs when he got called to a dental emergency? Really?”
“Laurence and his dental emergency in Switzerland sounds really suspicious… I still don’t trust him!” someone else agreed.
A fifth fan then said: “Hmmm well Laurence I still think you’re dodgy!”
Laurence’s obsession with paperwork and life insurance also had fans querying his true intentions, suggesting he could be in it for the money and only turned tail when he came close to being found out.

And though Laurence seemed unaware of the cobbles’ grisly past when it comes to murder, some viewers think he could know something in particular about one street serial killer – as he could be related to Pat Phelan.
One eagle-eyed viewer penned: “Laurence is definitely a killer. I think he could be related to Pat Phelan.”
Another said: “Imagine if Laurence is a relative of Pat Phelan?”
If true, he could be out for revenge on Eileen, who was married to the evil builder and later assisted in bringing him down.
