Jeremy Clarkson confirms Clarkson's Farm future after Amazon Prime Video 'axe' claim

Jeremy Clarkson has seemingly confirmed that Clarkson’s Farm will return for a third series despite reports he’d been axed from Amazon Prime Video.

The documentary series premiered back in 2021 and follows 62-year-old Jeremy and his life on his farm in the Cotswolds.

However, following Jeremy’s controversial comments about Meghan Markle in a column for The Sun, there were calls for his show to be axed.

The former Top Gear host reportedly sparked the ire of Prime Video bosses after the controversial column, in which Jeremy suggested Meghan should be “paraded naked” through the streets and pelted with “excrement”.

It was initially reported in Variety that Amazon Prime Video would be axing Jeremy’s shows, though the streaming giant did not comment.

Sources claimed that his tenure at the streaming service would not reach beyond 2024, or after the series of The Grand Tour and Clarkson’s Farm that have already been commissioned, and that he wouldn’t appear in any further Prime shows.

And now, it seems Jeremy’s farm series will be back on screens as he issued a three-word statement on Twitter.

Replying to a fan on Monday (February 13) Jeremy was asked: “I loved it watched it on Saturday that just passed, loved the show can’t wait for a season 3 if there is one.”

To which he simply responded: “There is one.”

Plenty of fans were thrilled to hear the news, with one proclaiming: “Glad to hear it!”

Another added: “Best news I’ve heard in a long time! I have learned so much from Clarkson’s Farm. I was never appreciative of or properly thankful for the work and sacrifice that goes into my daily bread. I am now.”

“Yes!! Keep it coming!!” gushed a third fan.

Echoing their thoughts, someone else penned: “Brilliant news for the farming community.”

“So happy to hear that!!!! We need more shows like this,” tweeted a fourth fan.

It comes after Jeremy sparked fury after his vile comments about the Duchess of Sussex – for which he later apologised.

He initially wrote in his column that Meghan should be “paraded naked through the streets of every town in Britain while the crowds chant ‘Shame!’ and throw lumps of excrement at her”.

He added that he “hates” Meghan, comparing her to notorious serial killer Rose West.

In his apology later, Jeremy said: “I really am sorry. All the way from the balls of my feet to the follicles on my head. This is me putting my hands up. It’s a mea culpa with bells on.

“It was a slow rumble to start with and I ignored it. But then the rumble got louder. So I picked up a copy of The Sun to see what all the fuss was about.

“We’ve all been there, I guess. In that precise moment when we suddenly realise we’ve completely messed up. You are sweaty and cold at the same time. And your head pounds. And you feel sick. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Had I really said that? It was horrible.”
