Love Island host Maya Jama has responded to fans’ concerns after they noted a painful-looking injury on her shoulder during the latest episode.
The 28-year-old strutted back into South African villa on Thursday (February 16) to deliver the results of the explosive Casa Amor recoupling.
And despite all the drama that followed, it was presenter Maya that got people talking at home after noticing an injury on her shoulder.

Wearing another killer dress, Maya set pulses racing in a red stain gown that boasted cut-outs across her chest and neck.
However, as the Bristol babe spoke to the islanders, viewers couldn’t help but notice a small scratch on her left shoulder.
Taking to Twitter, the show’s loyal legion of fans shared their concern, with one writing: “What happened to your shoulder?”
Echoing their concern, another follower penned: “Wonder how Maya got that cut on her shoulder.”
And now – Maya has addressed the injury in a reply to a worried fan on Twitter.
The fan mused: “Maya Jama did you catch your shoulder with the hair straighteners!!’
Setting the record straight, she responded: “I was shoulder dancing in a sparkly dress and it scratched at the Brits xx.”
Maya shared the update as soon as the episode wrapped – which saw one of the most dramatic recouplings ever.
The latest Love Island episode well and truly brought the drama, with Tanya brutally dumping her day one beau Shaq for Martin.
Another major moment was when Kai decided to recouple with Sanam, while Olivia returned to the villa arm in arm with Maxwell.
As she stood in front of a newly coupled Kai and Sanam, she said: “Can’t say I’m shocked.”
“His loss. My gain,” she swiped.

The brunette beauty told Maya that she formed a connection with Maxwell that she “couldn’t ignore”, before insisting she was “glad” she recoupled.
Sanam then admitted she was “lost for words,” questioning the relevance of Olivia’s speech given the fact she decided to recouple.
Olivia responded: “This isn’t between you and me,” before Kai insisted she doesn’t need to be “bitter” as they are both happy in their new couple.
