The Masked Singer will draw to a close on Saturday (February 18), with finalists Phoenix, Rhino and Fawn battling it out to be crowned champion.
Since the hit ITV programme’s fourth series kicked off on New Year’s Day, the judges and fans have been speculating which celebrities are hiding behind the elaborate disguises.
Detective panel Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan will watch the three remaining celebrities take to the stage as they prepare to sing their hearts out for the last time.
From day one, fans have been determined to uncover the celebrity singing under the disguise of Phoenix.
While actor David Tennant is in the running, others believe it could be Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.
Plenty of clues support this theory, like the inclusion of paintbrushes as Kaiser Chief fans will know that the lead singer used to be an art teacher.
Now, it seems Phoenix’s identity has now been “confirmed” as the 45-year-old I Predict a Riot singer following a series of telling clues.
Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman spoke exclusively to Daily Star after analysing Phoenix’s performances and came to the conclusion Ricky is “a perfect match” for the character.
She said: “In Phoenix’s performance of Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing’, we see a very confident entertainer. He’s tapping his feet rhythmically, showing us that he’s certainly musical, but not a conventional dancer, as they’re not exactly graceful moves. And yet he owns them!
“The confidence just shines from his figure. His body sways and his arms move in a way that is too chaotic to have been choreographed, but his broad moves and the way he doesn’t hold back tells us of an assured, secure artist.
“Phoenix’s theatrical performance of Mika’s ‘Grace Kelly’ reveals yet more personality. The sweeping, wide, lengthy motions he uses when dancing, demonstrate how confident he feels with the musical challenge of a much-loved track.”
“This is a person totally at home on a stage,” she added.
The expert continued: “Phoenix’s manspreading throughout his performances, shows that he’s used to being on his legs. Not a studio guy, he’s a touring musical artist, a front man.
“The fan theory that Phoenix is Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson makes a lot of sense in terms of body language. The boundless energy, the strong legs, the individuality – it’s a match.”
