Loaded in Paradise hunk 'hitting the gym' in hopes he'll bag Love Island spot

Loaded in Paradise’s Jamie Benson has been “hitting the gym” in the hopes he’ll get scouted for Love Island.

The 22-year-old who works at Advanced Beauty, his mum’s aesthetic clinic in London, has got a taste for reality television after appearing on the ITVX show.

Appearing on the show that sees party-loving pairs island hop around Greece’s Aegean Islands in a race to take control of 50,000 euros pre-loaded onto the Gold Card, Jamie now “fancies himself doing well on Love Island”.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star about his time on the show with his best pal Guy, Jamie eyed up a new stint on TV, with one reality-dating show firmly in his sights.

When asked if he’d be up for appearing on any other shows, he coyly replied: “Potentially Love Island,” adding: “Maybe I’ll do a bit of that, this [Loaded in Paradise] was very much a competition, so maybe I’ll be up for a little dating show. Could be quite fun.”

“I’ve been hitting the gym recently. I’m feeling confident. I think I’d fancy myself doing quite well on Love Island, but we’ll see,” he went on.

“Now I know what to expect. One thing I’ve been doing these past six months is I’ve read a lot of books on happiness and mental health and stuff like that,” he added in reference to him experiencing anxiety off the back of his TV stint.

He then added that he’s been working on his mind and body, explaining: “If the right girl came along who ticks all the boxes I’d be willing to have my first proper girlfriend.”

Elsewhere in our chat, Jamie spoke candidly about mental health when he said: “Coming off the show, I actually had, unfortunately, quite bad anxiety.

“Just because it was my first time on the telly and I didn’t really know to expect.”

He went on to add that he was “very grateful” to ITVX because they gave the stars of the reality show “one of the producers phone numbers” and provided them with six months of aftercare.

Loaded in Paradise is available to stream now on ITVX.
