This Morning presenter Alison Hammond is reportedly being lined up to be the next Holly Willoughby on the ITV show.
According to the Mirror, ITV bosses are said to be hopeful Alison will step up to a main presenting role if Holly doesn’t renew her contract.
A source said: “ITV bosses are clear they want Holly to return to This Morning next year. But while a question mark hangs over her future, there have been conversations about who could step in if she decided to go.

“Top of that list is Alison. She has gone from being seen as a safe pair of hands to a real asset to the channel.”
Alison has risen up the ranks on the show, starting off as a roving showbiz reporter to a guest presenter, and now hosts Fridays with Dermot O’Leary.
The source added: “Both Holly and Alison are much loved, respected and valued members of the This Morning family and have been so for over 14 and 20 years respectively.
“Both women very much enjoy working with each other on the show and are friends outside of the show also.”
A spokesperson for ITV said: “We don’t comment on speculation around artists’ contracts.”
Holly has been presenting This Morning since 2009 with Phillip Schofield but her contract is said to end in December.
Last year was a tough year for the presenting duo, as they faced backlash from the public after being accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen following her death in September.
This came shortly after the show came under fire to having the option to have bills paid for as one of the prizes for Spin to Win.
The pair faced a petition following Queuegate for them to be sacked but ITV bosses backed them and refused to let them go.
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
