Love Island has been hit with over 300 Ofcom complaints as fans were left fuming over some of the girls’ behaviour.
Contestants Tanya Manhenga and Olivia Hawkins came under fire for their treatment of their partners Kai Fagan and Shaq Muhammad following the chaos of Casa Amor and Movie Night.
For the first episode of Movie Night, while the residents of the villa were still reeling from the shocking Casa Amor recoupling, Ofcom shared that the majority of complaints sent in were against “Olivia’s behaviour and treatment of Kai.”

Olivia had slammed Kai and demanded an apology from him as she claimed he called her “fake” and branded her as “ingenuine.”
Others were surrounding concerns for Will Young’s mental health as he struggled to deal with the consequences of his betrayal towards partner Jessie Wynter.
In the second installation of Movie Night, where the islanders were forced to watch their snaky antics on-screen, Ofcom revealed that the show received a whopping 266 complaints, with 216 of them directed towards both Tanya and Olivia’s behaviour.
They said: “The majority of complaints were related to Tanya’s behaviour towards Shaq and Olivia’s behaviour towards Kai.”
In the episode, Tanya and Shaq fiercely took part in a shouting match after Tanya was shown passionately kissing Casa Amor hunk Martin Akinola in bed.
The complaints come after men’s domestic abuse charity Mankind Initiative shared their concerns over “gaslighting” and “manipulation” as women on the show reduced the male contestants to tears.
Their to the MailOnline statement read: “Love Island has once again showed that when it comes to abusive behaviours against partners such as manipulation and gaslighting, it affects men as well as women as victims.”
“The producers need to make sure they apply the same standards to the male contestants as they have had been forced to in recent years for female contestants.”
“We and our supporters are monitoring the show closely,” they concluded.
