Jeremy Clarkson has broken his silence after reports swirled about him allegedly splitting with his girlfriend and being “sacked” from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
Today (March 1), Who Wants To Be A Millionaire boss Carolyn McCall revealed the upcoming series of the popular quiz show will be the star’s final series as presenter.
She said: “We have a contract. We’re contracted to this [season], so we will do that. And then we have no future commitments.”

After the news was revealed, speculation began with many people presuming that the “axe” came after the 62-year-old published a scathing article about Meghan Markle in The Sun last December.
In his column, which he has issued an apology for, Jeremy wrote of his dream of watching Meghan “parade naked through the streets” as passers-by “throw lumps of excrement at her”.
But Jeremy has now cleared up any rumours or speculation of him being axed from the show for any reason, with the star urging that he has “not been sacked”.
Taking to Twitter to clear up any rumours, Jeremy wrote: “So many kind messages about today’s reports.
“But relax. Lisa and I have not split up and I have not been sacked as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”
When speaking about his girlfriend Lisa, he was referring to the apparent rumour that he and his partner Lisa Hogan, who he’s been in a relationship with since 2017, had split.
Fans were quick to throw support behind the former Top Gear star, with one writing: “Glad to hear! Is there going to be a season 3 of Clarkson’s Farm?
“Remember… hate from others, gives you the opportunity to grow your love to the world and especially those who dislike you. Much love.”
A second then added: “The cancel-mob is relentless.”
While a third penned: “I understand your contract won’t be renewed after the upcoming series. It’s a loss for @ITV. I’m loving your farm show on @amazon by the way!”
Jeremy became host of Who Waats to Be a Millionaire? in 2018, taking over from Chris Tarrant.
