BBC Breakfast presenter shakeup as Naga Munchetty is still 'missing' from show

BBC Breakfast underwent an evident change during the latest episode after presenter Naga Munchetty was replaced once again.

During Saturday morning’s programme (March 4), Charlie Stayt sat alongside co-host Rachel Burden for the popular morning show.

But fans who were used to seeing Naga on Saturday mornings quickly headed to Twitter to share their views.

One social media user asked: “Where is Naga? This woman with Charlie is irritating!!!”

But others appeared to like Rachel on the red sofa and welcomed her once again with open arms.

One person said: “Please can we have more of @rachelburden on BBC breakfast? So much better.”

Another added: “Morning Rachel you looking amazing as ever this morning.”

Meanwhile another viewer pointed out that Rachel looked similar to former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin.

They wrote: “Why does the BBC always replace women presenters with doppelgangers.

“This new one could be the twin of Louise Minchin, same hair, face body shape even voice. Its not the first time they’ve done it. Why? its creepy and a bit weird.”

But the 48-year-old has not been seen on the morning show this week.

Naga was also missing in action last weekend too which fans were also highlighted online.

Taking to Twitter, one person penned: “Finally the Best of the best, we love Nina, but there is only ONE ROGER JOHNSON.”

Echoing their thoughts, another viewer proclaimed: “A very good Saturday morning to Roger and Nina. Lovely to see your smiling faces bringing us the news from the world famous BBC Breakfasts red sofa.”

Nothing has been said about Naga’s absence from the show and the presenter hasn’t posted anything on her Instagram or Twitter since February 18.

In addition to this, she’s also been absent from her BBC Radio 5 Live show – which she presents Monday to Wednesday – since February 15.

However on her show page on the BBC website her next programme is scheduled to air on Monday, March 6.

This could also indicate that she might return to BBC Breakfast by then too.
