Olivia Attwood heaps praise on pal Georgia Harrison after Stephen Bear is jailed

Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood has heaped praise on her close pal Georgia Harrison after her ex, Stephen Bear was jailed for sharing their sex tape online.

Reality TV’s Bear, 33, denied the allegations, but was convicted on Friday of two counts of revenge porn and one count of voyeurism after a trial in December 2022.

He was jailed for 21 months and was slapped with a restraining order and subject to notification requirements for 10 years.

Afterwards, Olivia took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts with her two million followers on the hearing and praised Georgia for bravely waiving her right to anonymity because she had been named publicly from the beginning of the case.

She wrote on her Instagram story on Saturday: “Don’t even want that face on my stories. But so so so proud of Georgia. Brave and dignified from the beginning.

“Let this be a warning to anyone else thinking they can get away with these kind of crimes.”

Bear, who refused to apologise to Georgia when asked if he had any remorse as he spoke to press while walking into Chelmsford Crown Court, claimed he was not given a fair trial, adding a positive that came out of the trial was him being diagnosed with ADHD, depression and anxiety.

Speaking after the sentencing, Georgia told reporters: “I just want to say I’m happy and relieved this matter is finally over. Today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through.

“It’s a clear message that the police take this matter very seriously. I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets in waiving my anonymity.

“I hope this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope anyone else who’s been victim of it, it gives them some sort of justice. Thanks for so much for your support.”

Miss Harrison and Bear started dating in October 2018 after appearing on MTV’s The Challenge together but by July 2019 had split.

Bear’s fiancé Jessica Smith, meanwhile, threw her support behind the disgraced TV star, insisting she will always be by his side despite his the sentence.

“I love you. I’ll always be by your side, stay strong babe,” she wrote alongside a video on Twitter.
