Margot Robbie forced to strip to mini dress and stilettos for sultry audition

Margot Robbie was forced to strip down to a tight mini dress and high heels when she auditioned for her sultry breakout role in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Many fans know Robbie from her first Hollywood role and the starlet has previously opened up about her experience auditioning for the character Naomi Lapaglia, Jordan Belfort’s blonde bombshell wife.

The actress revealed that the crew made her change out of her normal clothes into something much sexier.

She said: “I walked in for the audition and Ellen Lewis, who was the casting director, [said]: ‘What are you wearing?’ I was like: ‘My clothes?’ She was like: ‘No, no, no honey. You’re gonna go downstairs, you’re gonna walk into Soho, you’re gonna buy the highest pair of heels you can find and the tightest dress’.

“‘Then, you’re gonna come back and do the audition!’ And I did. And I got the part. I rarely wear heels unless it’s for, like, a work thing, so…”

When Margot returned for her audition, she blew everyone away with her performance.

She acted out the famous scene in which Naomi and Jordan argue with each other and decided to take a huge risk.

Margot suddenly slapped her co-star Leonardo DiCaprio right across the face and was completely stunned by her own actions.

The startled actress recalled: “I’m thinking: ‘You just hit Leonardo DiCaprio in the face. They’re going to arrest you because that’s assault. You’re definitely never going to work again, that’s for sure. They’ll probably sue you as well in case there’s a bruise on his face and he needs to film something else!’”

While Margot contemplated her future in the acting industry, everyone in the room was stunned by her wild slap and encouraged her to carry on.

Robbie said: “Marty says: ‘That was great!’ Leo’s like: ‘Hit me again!’”

Martin Scorsese later spoke out about the audition and said that Margot had “a unique audacity that surprises and challenges”, like “burning a brand into every character she plays”.

The legendary director said she managed to land her part as Naomi “during their first meeting” after she “gave Leonardo a thunderclap of a slap on the face”.

Martin then admitted that it was “an improvisation that stunned us all”.
