The Apprentice's Amy Anzel says Lord Sugar 'cant handle the truth' after brutal blocking

The Apprentice’s Amy Anzel was brutally blocked by Lord Alan Sugar after last week’s episode, with the American businesswoman now clapping back.

Tuning into week nine of the hit BBC One business show, former candidate Amy, tweeted along with her thoughts on the episode.

In the episode, Lord Sugar tasked the remaining 2023 contestants with creating a male skincare product before pitching it to buyers at a glitzy event

But Amy, who was thrown off the show in week six during the 2022 series, owns her own successful beauty brand and wanted to show Lord Sugar what he had missed out on when she took to Twitter.

Chatting to us exclusively about episode nine and her thoughts on the series so far, the 49-year-old beauty mogul had a lot to say – especially about being blocked by Lord Sugar.

“One thing that was really interesting, at least it is from my perspective, was that Lord Sugar blocked me on Twitter,” Amy told Daily Star.

She added: “I tend to tweet throughout the episode, and he blocked me for the stupidest reason, I think.”

Amy then spoke about the tweet that seemed to annoy him, adding: “They [the 2023 candidates] were pitching to retailers in the beauty sector.

“I have a beauty brand called Hollywood Browzer Beauty, and my products are in Boots.

“And there they are trying to pitch to Boots and Superdrug and John Lewis, and all I said in my tweet was: ‘Fun fact, my brand @HollywoodBrowzer is stocked at @BootsUK, and to think @LordSugar fired me in week six!’ Boom – he blocked me.”

Amy then went on to say that she finds it “unbelievable,” adding: “The fact that he can’t take it. He can shell it out, but he can’t take it.”

Defending her tweets, Amy said: “I didn’t do anything to really criticise him, I’ve just been criticising the show because I’m speaking the truth, and obviously, he can’t handle the truth.”

The Apprentice continues on BBC One and iPlayer on Thursday night, with the final taking place on March 24
