Love Island’s Brad McClelland was one left red-faced when he was slating producers in the villa.
Brad chatted exclusively to the Daily Star during an Instagram Live where he talked about his time on the show.
Talking about the embarrassing moment, Brad said: “You get given a phone and that’s the phone you can take photos with and get the ‘I’ve gotta text’ cliche thing. Basically, obviously, there are cameras everywhere and you’re mic’d up, but if we wanted to talk to someone we would sometimes grip the mic but we’d get told off.

“I went a step further and I wrote a message on my phone and I showed Jake [Cornish].
“I’m typing this message and I can’t remember what happened but it was something to do with the producers and I wasn’t happy with how something was going.
“I was showing Jake and the next thing come through the tannoy, ‘Brad, you do realise we can see what is typing on your phone’.
“I’m sat there, deleting it quickly, though they’ve already seen it.
“But your phone screen is mirrored and they have a screen and it gets mirrored to it.
“I didn’t say anything malicious, I think if it was that bad I would’ve been kicked out.”
Brad starred on series seven of the ITV dating show which was filmed back in 2021.
He briefly found love on the show but it was short-lived when he was sent packing and his other half Lucinda Strafford quickly moved on with other Islanders.
Nowadays, Brad sets his sights on more TV opportunities and revealed he would love to do Big Brother.
He told us: “I think for me, with Love Island, they’re producing the show and it is more ran off couples and they’re looking for this certain thing but Big Brother from what I remember it was a free for all.
“It had so many individual people in there that are so different personality-wise and you can go in and be yourself – that’s all you have got to do, is be yourself.”
